Good Morning

Thank you for all this information Ciderdrinker!

I believe you could be right with all this new information you have found! So James, who was baptism record I found between a Charles and Elizabeth was actually the brother of Charles who 'married' Violette?

Talking about that, you breifly mention that you believe Violetta being the Violetta baptised in 1780 in Pelsall, Staffordshire. May I ask why you believe that please? I am still struggling to find a marriage record for them and why people have the 25th March 1799 as the date of marriage.

Anyway, thank you, you have gave me a push to explore this line!

Thank you!

Hi
Again
For Violetta ,I just looked for any Violetta baptised in the area with that name because it's so unusual.
She does have  brothers Henry 26.3.1775 ,Thomas 4.12.1785 ,John 9.3.1783,Samuel 28.6.1772 which are all names of Charles and Violettas children.

I know its not much but maybe a clue

Hi Again Ciderdrinker.

I have placed that into my research because I am pretty sure it's all correct.

What I did find, which you might be able to help with, was that when looking at the baptism records between Charles Senior and his 2 wives; Mary Bird and Elizabeth Salt. I noticed that there is another Charles [Allblaster] baptised on 04 Feb 1781 at St Mary the Virgin within the Aldridge Parish of Staffordshire.

This is the same Church that baptised Sarah Allblaster on the same day. This would indicate that they are actually twins.

What I do not understand is, if Sarah was the brother to Charles who was baptised in Stowe, nr Lichfield, Staffordshire; on 28 Sep 1778. Then why would Charles Senior and Elizabeth name another child the same name?

Kindest Regards

Hello
Good spot.
I'm assuming the older child died sometime after 1778 and before 1781.
If they liked the name parents often gave it to another born latter

The Charles that was born in 1778, is the Charles that died in 1858 in Walsall, Staffordshire. It is also the lineage that I descend from.

Maybe they did just like the name, I guess. Very unusual though, unless it is two different families?

Kindest Regards
