Sorry not being able to give you much info.
I am looking for any help on Frank Orbell born Risby, Suffolk, son of Walter and Emily.
Served in WW1
I am looking for anything re his time in WW1 and in particular was he wounded?

I will be very grateful for any help.

Was he Frank Austin Orbell? There is a birth in Suffolk

There is a medal card for Frank A Orbell
East Surrey Regiment, Royal Dublin Fusiliers
Regimental numbers : 5276, 28937

Born 2 November 1888 Risby Suffolk
Enlisted 7 Sep 1914  5276 sent to France 27 July 1915 awarded 1914/15 Star with the East Surrey Regt
Then Transferred to the 6th Btn Royal Dublin Fusiliers as 28937
Discharged One week after the War Ended on 4 July 1919 on Silver War Badge Number B/249471
as Wounded - aged 30 years 8 months  but Pension doesn't appear to have been awarded.
Died 17 January 1969 Bury St Edmunds

He was almost certainly wounded during the Battle of the Hindenburg Line
8th. - 12th. Oct. 1918 between Cambrai & Le Cateau France.

Only his service record will give any indication of nature
of wounds & even then it's just usually the basics
ie. GSW to leg or some such.
Local papers may have more.
