thanks for the help I have been working back from Abraham Allen who was a grocer / fruiterer in Birmingham in 1881 he appears to have been christened April April 1824 at St Martins Brum parents Abraham and Elizabeth, this Abraham seems to be the son of a Joseph Allen and Hannah Horton.
So my Elizabeth Smith married a Abraham Allen on the 9th March 1819 ? in Aston Birmingham, the witnesses were Pharaoh Smith and the Mark of Mary, so maybe the fruiterer / grocer is a link,,
