US Federal Census 1880
« on: Wednesday 19 July 23 11:59 BST (UK) »
Hello,

I'm trying to find a John William Hayes born at Ogdensburg, St Lawrence, New York on
Jan 7, 1873 in the 1880 US Census. He died at Munising, Alger, Michigan on
Mar 29, 1922. I did find one I thought was a fit but his father is listed as Denis Hayes born in Ireland, I have been informed by his relations that John Hayes father was also John Hayes born in Ireland. Another piece of information I have is he married Myrtle Lydia Cook circa 1907 and they married possibly somewhere in Michigan, maybe the marriage cert lists John's father's name for certain?

This family , spelled Hayse , could fit. The father John Hayse is missing from the transcription but is listed on the document :

According to his death certificate, his father's name was John. His wife was the informant.
