Vanished?
« on: Thursday 20 July 23 05:00 BST (UK) »
Please, any help findindg:

Fenton Moore b. ~1833 Queens County, Ireland, married Joannah (sp?) Power in 1860 Salford.
They are listed in the 1861 census in Salford, but appear to have vanished after that.

Fenton's parents John and Catherine Moore
Joannah's parents John and Catherine Power

in addition, his sister Ann "Oney" Moore Burke, married John Burke in Salford in 1858. But they seemed to have vanished after 1881.

They are all together in the 1861 census in Salford with mother Catherine Moore.

Any ideas what became of them?

I considered that Kay99, but I found mother Catherine in Salford living with her daughter Ann Burke and her husband in 1871. No Fenton to be found. :(

That’s  the Leeds one though, isn’t it, not the Salford/Manchester one. :-\
Are you thinking they could be the same person?

There's a surprising number of Fenton / Finton Moores about
One in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1851

Denis Moore Head 36   b abt 1815 b Ireland
Ridget (sic) Wife 33   1818   b Ireland  (probably meant to be Bridget)
Mary Ann Moore Daughter   11   1840   b Ireland
Rose   Moore Daughter   5   1846   b Kirkcudbright, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland
Catharine   Moore Daughter 3 b abt1848   b Scotland
Anthony Moore Brother   Married      20   1831   b Ireland
Fenton Moore Nephew   Unmarried    20   1831   b Ireland

From ages this Fenton would be son of Denis and Anthony's older brother.
The Leeds Fenton has a mother born in Air (sic) Scotland. Maybe this is the same one.
Berks / Oxon: Eltham, Annetts, Wiltshire (surname not county), Hawkins, Pembroke, Partridge
Dorset / Hants: Derham, Stride, Purkiss, Sibley
Yorkshire: Pottage, Carr, Blackburn, Depledge
Sussex: Goodyer, Christopher, Trevatt
Lanark: Scott (soldier went to Jersey CI)
Jersey: Fowler, Huelin, Scott
