Ernest Cuylle passed away 31 May 1964 in Landeck Ohio. If someone could find his obituary I'd be very grateful. Thanks in advance.

If no one here come up with it, try the Lima, Ohio, Public Library. This came from a database called Rutherford B Hayes Presidential Center Obituary Index.

Newspaper: Lima News, Newspaper Date: 01 Jun 1964, Newspaper Page: Column: ; Repository: Lima Public Library; Years Available: 2004-current

That issue of that paper is at newspapers.com. They might not have indexed his name correctly, or it would have at least shown up in the results when I looked. I don't have a subscription, but someone here who does would be able to read the actual images and find it.

Or you can wait - they have free weekends every so often.

Thank you for this obit. I suppose he was unmarried, since no wife/ widow or offspring is mentioned?

Hi,

Find A Grave, Landeck Ohio says he was widowed.
https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/21693573/ernest-cuylle

There is a tree on Geneanet that might be worthwhile perusing. It says he was married and
had a number of children, but they all seem to have remained in Belgium.

I can't get the link to work. ??? I'll be back when I can. :)

DB

ADDED: It seems to work now.

I was aware of this fact. He left his wife and children in Belgium and migrated to the U.S.
It looks like he never came back and started a new life there. That's why I'm interested in his obit. I wanted to see if he started a new family there.

His Belgian wife died in 1956, so this could be a reference to her.

His Declaration of Intention states he has 5 children, all living in Belgium. It also states he is not married. Did his wife die prior to his immigration? Or they divorced?
