Graves brothers in 1911 Census?
« on: Sunday 23 July 23 18:50 BST (UK) »
I would like to know more of the English background of the Graves brothers, of Port Williams, N.S., if possible, who are the subject of this recent post:

https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=874736.0

I’m wondering whether a census entry for 1911 exists, which might point to an age. Since they seem to have been English, I can hopefully find more myself once I can know roughly how old they were. It is only for background info, so please only look if you are at a loose end.

Thanks, Dave :)

The link in the final response that you got in the thread that you have linked to here gave their birthdates.

Shame for us to repeat what may already have been found.

Why don't you respond to Aghadowey on the other thread.  Reply 5 -

Think this is the Graves family-

Have lots more details on the brothers if anyone is interested I can post. They aren't always easy to identify in records because each used various combinations of first and middle names at various times.

Apologies, I should have looked back at this. I thought that I’d seen a reference in a newspaper article to the Graves being English-born like K. Lea, but this clearly isn’t the case, so my query isn’t relevant.

Thanks for your help,

Dave :)

Thank you, that is interesting, and not what I’d assumed.
