Robert Sallory son of Simon and Mary of Bond End was baptized Aug 1747 at Burton upon Trent.
Robert Sallory son of Simon and Mary of Bond End was buried Jan 1747 at Burton upon Trent.
I searched for another Robert Sallory and was unsuccessful, I looked at the original burial record and I think maybe there was a mistake on the original (which I viewed on Find My Past]  there are two different sets of burials for 1747 so perhaps the second set is for 1748.
Thoughts on this would be welcome.

This was the era of the Old Style (Julian) calendar.  Prior to 1752, the new year started on 25 March each year.  So the burial is after the baptism in what they considered to be 1747.  1748 began on 25 March.

In 1752, England switched to the New Style (Gregorian) calendar and the new year began on 1st January 1752.  11 days were lost in September to bring everything into line with other countries.
