Incorrect ? Information on Roll

Can't find him in the 1911 Census but I found him (as a 13 year old) in court for stealing. (snippet image courtesy of Find My Past)

There is a service record on Find My Past for a Swailes Watson that enlisted into the Royal Artillery on the 20 October 1892 stating his age as 18 years 5 months. His next of kin is shown to be Thomas Watson of 144 Nile Street, Southerland (actually Sunderland). His service history is shown as:

UK -- 20/10/1892 to 23/02/1895
India -- 24/02/1895 to 03/02/1898
UK -- 04/02/1898

On the 14/03/1901 he was discharged 'on conviction by Civil Power of Felony'

He declared that he was born in Birmingham but a search of civil birth registrations only comes up with a birth registered Quarter 4, 1874, Sunderland District. I am confident that this is 'your man'
