Windows 11
« on: Sunday 30 July 23 12:36 BST (UK) »
Hi. Have just bought an ASUS Vivobook laptop Windows11, as my old ASUS Windows10 was getting slower and slower. First thing download Windows7 games from Winaero (now 7,8 10 and 11 compat). Problem where are they. Start shows Winaero ready to install, which I have installed numerous times but no appearance of an icon to play. On the old ASUS I had a King icon on my tray and one click I was away. Any ideas from all you card players. Many thanks.

On Windows 10 they are in Program Files/Microsoft Games. Is that any help?

Hi Genie. Those are microsoft games and not window7 games from Winaero, Some but not all have now appeared in START -more but not Kings.- Minesweeper etc so Have tried to download just Kings again and see if it appears tomorrow. Thanks for trying. Tas.

Actually they are the ones I downloaded called Win7 games for Win10 which sounded like what you had. But I don't have one called Kings so it must be a different version. Sorry.

In Windows 11 click on the Window icon in the middle of the Taskbar.

In the Pop Up click on the view all and you should get the equivalent of the Start Menu with all Programs listed alphabetically

Hi. Genie. Not Kings but Freecell. Found them Start All Apps at top RHS of page and scroll down to "G".
New games, double click and they are all there Phew. Thrown at first as Win10 cleared all ref to Win7 games every update. Thanks Biggles this is what you suggested. So problem fixed until ???next update
