Hi Lu
Thanks for that I think I did see that but I was looking for her in Cornwall, now it looks like it was her husband from Cornwall. I just have to find a connection to John Anderson 🤞

Hi ladies sorry it's me again I think I now know the side of my family that connects me
to the Anderson and Moses family's through my DNA

My grandad was Charles Adam Yeo his father Charles Mathew Yeo was born in 1844 Freenaglas Cornwall.

We have just found we have another DNA match with the name Yeo but he has no tree on ancestry I have sent a message but no reply as yet.

we think as John Anderson born 1911 Auckland was put in an orphanage Anderson could be his adopted name.

You have already been so helpful but can I please ask if you could check births again this time for a  John, Roy or Len Yeo born around 1911 Auckland

thank you so much I really do appreciate
kind regards Sue

Sue ...

The Births for each of the three children YEO, were registered at Invercargill, NZ - which is near the bottom of the South Island.   (  Auckland is in the North Island.  )

The following appears to be the (NZ) marriage of the parents >

Ruth STEPHENSON - John YEO - Year:  1909

(Information re: "place of event" is not given in the NZ Marriage index.)

More info to follow  > >

Hi Sue

FOR  ELIMINATION :

Following up on the John YEO (b. 1911 - s/o Ruth and John {aka John Sydney YEO}  - birth registered at Invercargill ) -  can confirm this IS NOT the man who later was known as John ANDERSON

There are a number of trees (@ancestry) for this John YEO to positively rule him out - his death is recorded at Invercargill in 1973 -- plus he was named in his mother's will (dated 1965).

*   Are you able to give further information here for the "other DNA match" for the surname YEO ??
We may be able to follow that one  up for you.

Question for  Sue >

*  Does the person (child of  ? ), who was very closely connected to the John ANDERSON you seek and provided his information,  have an actual date of birth for him  ?
[That information may be of help to us if say, ANDERSON was not his birth name. ]

As has already been pointed out earlier in thread, there was no NZ Birth registration (in Auckland or surrounds) for a child named John ANDERSON / or ???  ANDERSON ... born 1911 (or even close to that year).
