Preston Cemetery burial look up

Good afternoon!

I'm just wondering if someone could help with the look up for a burial record for Susannah Courtman, who died JFM 1936, aged 86 yrs, and also her husband James Courtman who died 10 Jan 1923, aged 76 yrs.

James death was registered in the September qtr 1923 - so could not have died January

Nothing on FindaGrave for that cemetary so there are probably no headstones.   As you have their death years have you tried contacting the cemetary direct to see if they have any records?

Yes, if they are at Preston I will try to look up their entries at some point in next few weeks fitting in with work.
The burial records are available on microfilm at North Shields local studies in North Shields library.

I'm hoping to go to Local Studies at North Shields library some time reasonably soon - but I'm not sure exactly when.

I could check back on this thread before going, and if no-one has beaten me to it, I'd be happy to have a look for these people.

that will show:

10 Sep 1923 (date of death) was a Monday
11 Sep 1923 (date of newspaper announcement) was a Tuesday
burial was to be on Thursday which was the 13 Sep 1923
