2764255 Pte Thomas Thomson. Queen's Royal West Surrey/GHQ Liaison (Phantom)

Evening all,

A long shot, but I'm looking for any further information or even better the family of Thomas Thomson.

I know that he enlisted into the Queen's Royal West Surrey regiment on the 30th of September 1940 but spent the majority of the war with the GHQ Liaison Regiment "Phantom".

I believe that he was a close friend of my grandad in North Africa and through Italy from early 1943 to the end of 1945 at least.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

WW2 service records are still with the MOD

Lots of Thomas Thomson’s so would need more info re birthplace & birthyear of this particular one.

If he was born around 1915-1920 he would only have possibly married in the late 1930’s or 40’s so any children could still be living.

As Rootschat has a strict no living persons policy we would not be able to post their details on a public forum

Some members do have more detailed WW2 info so good luck
