Keep us updated if possible

Will do.

An answer to a quick question would be so appreciated.  If I was looking for a grave and had no idea which burial ground it was in, but know its in Pontardawe somewhere how would I find it online?

It's defiantly the correct family found.

I ordered a birth cert for Blodwen Davis.  Parents correct and the address on the cert is Brook Terrace Pontardawe.

I'll keep you all updated when I receive the marriage cert.

Many thanks all !

In regard to burials...reply#18.  Difficult with common surnames. Also not knowing denomination if any.

Possibly contact the local library?

Neath reference library holds a copy of the GBI. https://www.npt.gov.uk/5738

Glamorgan Burial Index 1838-1990
Publication Information: Glamorgan Family History
Physical Description: CD-ROM

My local reference library is brilliant, maybe drop Neath Reference Library an email for advice on burial or burial grounds in the surrounding area.

Looking at the electrol for 16 Brook Terrace the latest Mary Davies was there is 1935 and David 1936. They are with married daughter Mary Ann she married Henry Eastworthy in 1911. They are still there 1939.

Brook Terrace was in the village of Tairgwaith, parish of Llangiwg. Would maybe look at cemeteries nearest as most were likely buried locally.  For info - 1935 the reg district changed to West Glamorgan, from Pontardawe.

See map https://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/GLA/Llangiwg/Chapel1

Hope this helps

Wow, thank you so much information  ;)  I'm going to download some of the burial lists from Glamorgan Family History website, fingers crossed.  I'm also going to try and find electoral roll lists because a lot of family members have always lived in Brook Terr and New Road... will be able to have a peek at who was living there, never used this list before, thank you!

Wonder if there is any relation to the couple that married same time, possible brother maybe was my first thought, but maybe wrong.

Can you point me in a direction to help solve the problem I have with no father listed?
I have checked GRO for David Davies with the birth year nothing coming up, which I found very unusual with such a common name.

Forget the possible connection to other couple his father was David.

Difficult to say with such a common name. What registration area have you checked?
