« on: Friday 09 September 05 11:54 BST (UK) »
Possibly living in the Strabane area would sks be able to look him and his family up in 1901 please?

Born about 1826 I believe and died age 86 in Strabane in 1913.

Many thanks

Hi Theresa

Sorry can't help you but just thought I would mention that Strabane would come under County Tyrone. Perhaps you could ask one of the moderators to move this post to the Tyrone board. Also, the 1901 Census is indexed by townland...if you do not have the the name of the townland where he lived, it may be difficult for someone to search . If you know he died in Strabane, do you have his death certificate as this would possibly have an address to help narrow down any search.

Going through older posts and came across this one. By now you might have been able to find more information but if you haven't done so the following might be of interest.

The 1911 and then 1901 census for Ireland is gradually being put online on National Archives, Dublin website. Unfortunately, Co, Tyrone is nearly at the bottom of the list but it is very easily searched by name.

Yes, jcass, this thread is now under Tyrone board but originally (2005) it started off in the wrong place and one of the moderators moved it here to Tyrone where it belongs.
