Eutaxian Club, 1902

One for Carol (and anyone else) to play with.  Plenty of coloring opportunities.  It's the Eutaxian Club, University of Oregon, 1902.  My grandmother is in the back row, fourth from left.  As I understand it, it was a literary society just for women students since (naturally) they weren't allowed in the men's literary society.

 I could have given you the Treble Clef Music Club but the girls were all dressed in white for that photo.

Looks good!  I wish some other universities had done as a good a job as Oregon and would get their yearbooks online.  It would be fun to trace these women and see what became of them.  They were pioneers.

Yes, they all have descendants who may not have seen this great image, you are lucky to have it!
maybe one day you will find a way to share it.
I would love to have a photo as early as this.
Our family is full of Ag labs and Shoemakers and the women were either in service or dressmakers.

Well, my grandmother was a farm girl from Hortonville, Wisconsin.  Would you like a photo of her later in life to mess with?

That would be good. There is always room for more on the board and they seem to be a bit thin on the ground just now.
