Louisa Scanes (1867-?) marriage or death
« on: Thursday 03 August 23 09:59 BST (UK) »
Hi all,

I hope everyone's having a great summer. I would like to ask if someone could have a look to see what happened to Louisa Scanes, a sister of my ancestor Mary Ann Scanes. She was the daughter of George (1826-1902) and Elizabeth (1830-1898), and was born in London in 1867, the sister of Mary Ann (1849-1920), Walter (1858-1933), Helen (1862-1894), George (1865-1947) and John (1872-?).
She can be seen in Hanover square in '71, Tottenham Court in '81, but then the trail runs dry. I'd like to see if someone could find a marriage (if she married) and when she died.

Warmest thanks,
FG

@jonw65 That's definitely her, as the witnesses are both relatives. I can't find either Louisa or Albert on any of the censuses though, which is quite strange. Perhaps something has been mistranscribed?

Sorry if Louisa is proving hard to find again. She is determined to be difficult!

Has Albert been found before the marriage?
