Family research
« on: Thursday 03 August 23 23:15 BST (UK) »
I have a question about a family member that we don't know about.

My grandmother has never known her dads dad.

The name of my great grandfather is Daniel Charles Ebenezer Born 1915 and died 1950. He is was from Ponterwyd. I am looking to see if anyone knows any information about the father.

Any help is appreciated

Hi

If your grandmother is still alive - you need to remove her name from your post.  Rootschat has a strict no living persons policy

I think this is your great grandfathers birth reg - looks like he was illegitimate

Births September qtr 1912
Daniel C Ebenezer mothers maiden name Ebenezer  Tregaron    11b   99

Have you looked for him on the 1921 census which is only available on FindMyPast

yes I have looked him up on the 1921 census and there wasn't a father on there, just him and his brother and their mum

Here she is in 1891 - all b Lledrod except Anne

Daniel Ebenezer 41 farmer
Anne  43    b Llangeitho

Unfortunately - in the absence of any fathers name on his 1912 birth cert you are only left with DNA to establish his biological fathers name
