It is not unusual to find a death announcement in the British newspapers to let friends and relatives here know when someone died overseas.

There are 9 of those between 1836 and 1892. Which one are you interested in?

HI ShaunJ,
This is my third attempt to reply to your message!
Of the 9 entries you mention I would be interested in any 1871 or later and including a Spouse: Mary A.
Could not find  this reference in the Library Edition at my local Library.

I can't find them all now either.

Here's the one from 1892 (not from Ancestry): Samuel Campbell aged 8 months, infant son of Farrier Sergeant John Campbell 3rd Madras Lancers and Mary Anne his wife.

It might be easier to find baptisms - are you interested in those?

I don't know how you limited it to 9 in the first place!
on FindMyPast British India Office Deaths and Burials. If I filter for deaths 1881 +/- 10 years who were also born 1881 +/- 10 years. There are 71.

I've looked at about 10.  A distressing number of them don't even give the full name of the father (just an initial and his regiment) let alone the name of the mother.

Link here - incase you can manage to access it at the Library using that.
