Dowgust: where was / is it?

The 1699 Clyffe Pypard PR lists the burial of a man who was "of Dowgust".  I've searched (perhaps not very well) but I can't find any reference to this place.

Can anyone offer any suggestion or hints?

Could it have been the name of a house or farm?
