Slightly late to join in, but I have two people who normally lived in the Bury/Heywood area, both from well off families and who died in far from home - one in Bournemouth and the other in Ventnor on the Isle of Wight.  Both were suffering from tuberculosis and this was the reason for their being so far from home.
