Oh Dear!  Poor old Charles!  In all sorts of trouble! Yes I think they had come up to Sydney and he bumped into his first wife around the time of c 1917.  He was working for a cotton manufacturer or similar LOL.

I see that Le GALLIC is written as Le GALLIE for three family members on the SA BDM.  Hmmm!  Thanks for the link.  Much appreciated.  Dianna

I entered Le Gallic in search of each likely reccord collection.

In 1939, The mother and daughter lived at 90 Hilltop Lane which is identical to the address given on the UK incoming passeger list for the Orsova voyage given above in 1929.

So Charles' second wife has left him with their daughter Ruth.  Will be interesting If I can track down some of the family in the UK.  Great to have your help.  Regards Dianna
