Well I did have to smile at the slightly glossed up reason that Ruth rarely saw her father after the separation.

He was absent in the Australian outback as overseer on the railways.

No mention of Parkside Mental Facility or arrests or maintenance orders etc.

She may not have known of the Hawkers Lisence issued in 1931 to her father. He was then living at
22 Wigley Street, Largs Bay SA

I wonder if her daughter stayed in South Australia!  I found a photo of Ruth.  I hope it's attached.  I will try and find some of her poems/books.  Would be nice to see them
