No he doesn't, he talks about specific areas, like Massereene in the S/W, or streets in the town like High Street, Bow Lane, Mill Row, and Paty's Lane.

As you say, gaffy, the likes of Mill Row, Scotch Quarter, and Main Street seem to figure in Griffith's Valuation within Townparks. Was Antrim Gardens/Town Gardens a sub-townland of Townparks?

The townland in Antrim town - Towns Parks according to townlands.ie but on PRONI historical maps (https://apps.spatialni.gov.uk/PRONIApplication/), it's Town Parks.

https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/4195442#map=12/54.7185/-6.2179

The Griffiths Valuation map shows 'TOWN PARKS'

Researching: Cuthbertson – Co. Derry, Scotland & Australia; Hunter – Co. Derry; Jackson – Co. Derry, Scotland & Canada; Scott – Co. Derry; Neilly – Co. Antrim & USA; McCurdy – Co. Antrim; Nixon – Co. Cavan, Co. Donegal, Canada & USA; Ryan & Noble – Co. Sligo

Thanks again, gaffy.

And thanks, Kiltaglassan. Griffith’s Valuation itself (the printed pages) seems to use Townparks, no space.

And do you have a view about the Tithe Applotment Books apparently calling Antrim Gardens a townland?
