Father Samuel Howard SAMPSON.  Mother Sophia Cath DANIEL.

He married in 1931 to Eva Elbert McFARLANE  (reg 4196).

Is it a daughter of this couple you are referring to as writing you a letter?

They lived at Maldon in earlier married days.

There  is a tree on Ancestry which suggests that Elizabeth Jones married Isaac DANIEL. The tree shows Catherine, the mother and some of the children living in Tythegston, South Wales (near Porthcawl) in 1861.

I cannot see a birth for the woman in this marriage record:
Marriage 1904 # 4794 DANIEL
Sophia Cath DANIEL, Sml Howard SAMPSON

But her death registration gives her parents
Death, 1959 #23477
Sophia Catherine Sampson, aged 85
Death Place   Maldon, Victoria
Father   Isaac Daniel
Mother   Elizabeth Jones


So Elizabeth JONES married Isaac DANIEL and their daughter Sophia married Samuel Sampson

Cupoflife thank you so much for info olon,David Jones  Elizabeth Jones is the person , that

my line follows  to the Sampson family , as when I moved some of my research went missing

it end when I found Vaughn Sampslns daughter Elwyne who wrote to me years ago.

So Elizabeth JONES married Isaac DANIEL and their daughter Sophia married Samuel Sampson

The parents of Samuel Howard were James and Jane (nee Dabb) Samson.

This is the death of Jane Sampson.  She was married to James Sampson who was much involved in mining the Bendigo area..
