The  "certificate" found by Zephiro could be Joseph Marie's , I decipher Le Gallic instead of Le Gallée .

Here is a tree on Geneanet, with ascendancy , Joseph was a sailor.

Wow thanks will have to get that transcription translated to English.  Looks interesting.  I have just received Joseph M Le Gallic/Le Gallies death certificate.  Just say's born FRANCE in the Colony 48 years, occupation MASON (no mention of Sailor).  Therefore looks like he arrived in Australia 1872.

Still cannot see any immigration records BUT he could have possible not actually arrived as an immigrant.  If he was a Sailor may not be listed as an "immigrant".  Not sure.  Many thanks Dianna
