Well, lunchtime news, HS2 is to be scrapped to The North.
Just announced on the lunchtime news.
Wasn’t due here until a good few years yet anyway .
£ 36 billion to be spent instead on other transport projects in  the  area???

Well I won’t be here to see it.
Wonder what Andy Burnham wil have to say .
(His promised no fare higher than £2 is set to rise to £2-50 shortly.)

Hope there have not been any trees felled as yet.

Not funny really but someone said on a bus ,perhaps someone had the map upside down, when the lovely sycamore was felled!
It is not beyond possibility.

Another Ground Nut Scheme———— they keep popping up!
Viktoria.

Perhaps you meant this to go on the Diary thread ? This one’s about Covid boosters…

Our doctors had a walk in clinic this morning for flu jabs so we went down for that and while we were there we were offered a covid jab too which we weren't expecting, so all done and dusted.

We've just had what we believe to be our 7th Covid jab.  We were also offered the flu jab, but as neither of us has ever had flu before, we declined.  We walked down to our "more local" branch surgery and enjoyed the wonderful sunshine - long may it last "fingers crossed".

Exactly, we can only be VERY grateful that we don't suffer too much.  I live in Tamworth, in Staffordshire, and also on the top of the hill = Acorn Ridge!  :)
