Amelia Jane BISSETT 1885-??

Trying to find out what happened to Amelia Jane BISSETT. She was born 1885 in Whanganui, eldest daughter of Adam BISSETT and Alice BEVAN.

Believe she may have had a son Leonard Gordon BISSETT in 1910.

Can find her in the electoral rolls in Hawera in 1908 and 1911 only. She is with a sister.

After that nothing.

Tree on Ancestry has her marrying “Turner” - no christian name & dying 1939 in Dunedin

Found that one on Findagrave and she was English aged 76-77 so too old for my Amelia Jane. A tree on Geni had her death in 1939 as well.

Think she might have left the country.

Mmm ... not recorded in her mother's will dated July 1945.  ???

[I've got lots of "Amelia's"  in my family - and they've turned up under all manner of variations of that name.  ;D ]

But I actually tracked this one down by using her son's birthdate.  (one of my newer "tricks") .
