Twins named Harfield and Gilmore
« on: Thursday 10 August 23 10:04 BST (UK) »
The parents of twins Harfield and Gilmore born in Broken Hill in 1912 were asked about the reason for the unusual choices of first names. They answered that twins named Harfield and Gilmore featured in a book they had read. Google searches have failed to find such a book.  Does anyone have any knowledge of such a book, published before 1912 in either Australia or the UK?  I realise that this is a strange request, but I know there are some clever people out there!
We don't need information about the actual family, just about the book and its twin characters,
Thank you.
