I've looked at Amos and family and I saw his wife died in Kent.  The family are adamant she died in Egypt . I'd be inclined to go along with this one as it keeps cropping up but I keep going back to what was said about the suitcase.
Amos had a brother also called frederick but I can't find much for him such as army ect.
The son (ken)of James harry elphick has said he thinks his grandfather was the same,frederick but can't swear to it.  Sorry to be so vague .
Also when James harry elphicks father died he said he died in or around anglelsey or menai bridge around 1960.
The son of James harry is called Ken and he said he was about 5 when his grandfather died. He said the grandfather wasn't a nice man .
I'm hoping Ken can come up with more information soon .
