Is this from Ancestry thrulines which will come up if you have done DNA test with them and put a tree on Ancestry and linked it to your DNA results?. Or it just a tree hint not linked to a DNA test?. Random hints can be a load of rubbish. Shared ancestors flagged from thrulines are based on the tree of the person with whom you share a DNA match and often numerous trees of other Ancestry members to "bridge the gap". Therefore the veracity of the common ancestor way back depends on the accuracy of a number of trees.
The most distant ancestors, Ancestry has flagged up for me are 5 x great grandparents who were born in the early 1700s, making the DNA  match my 6th cousin. We share 13 cM.

Co-incidentally I have Annetts in my tree. I have one probably born about 1825 - 30 in the western side of what was Berkshire close to the Wiltshire border. I have found several possibles for his baptism nearby, but none in the village where he married and settled to raise a family, so my paper trail stops there. But looking at Ancestry thru-lines, they have found parents and grandparents for him, based on a tree by someone who is not a DNA match (but may not have tested). I am very sceptical about the parents. There is no baptism record cited. and they married in Sydling St Nich., Dorset, quite some distance away. The record says the supposed father was from nearby village of Chetnole. There is a very likely baptism for the supposed father that would fit in Yetminster, giving Chetnole as place of residence. Yet Ancestry decides he was the Thomas born in Collingbourne Kingston based on unsourced trees.

You are right to be very cautious about adding these early generations just based on Ancestry hints.

Had a look at the various generations, starting from your grandfather (what a gift of a name to research). you probably have most of this already, but here goes:
Got as far as Ann(e) Annats b abt 1790 Clatford, Hants (source 1851 census). When she married Silas Stone in 1808 she was a minor (under 21). One of the witnesses was John Annats. Ann could sign her name, John made his mark.  Most likely baptism is Ann Annats - 10 jan 1790 base born daughter of Mary Annats at Clatford. The most likely baptism for Mary is d/o Henry and Jane on 30 oct 1766 at Clatford. This couple also have a son John bapt at Clatford on 5 Aug 1777.
Can't find what happened to Mary, but brother John (Ann's uncle) turns up in Winterslow married to a Rebecca.
1851 census Piece number 1846, Folio 17, page 26. Confirms birth town Clatford and age 73.
John Annets married rebecca Collins at Winterslow on 26 May 1806. John Annetts made his mark, Rebecca and two Collins witnesses signed. One witness was Alexander Collins, John Annets called a son Alexander.
John Annets witnessing Ann's marriage to Silas, might be a way of him (her uncle and possibly guardian) giving consent to the marriage. Mary may have died by then or married and kept her previous illegitimate child a secret.
Many trees have Ann's parents as Edward Annats and Mary Hillier, but I cannot see any evidence for that whatsoever.

Going back a generation to Mary's parents
Hen(e)ry Annot(t)s married Jane Cary on 19 May 1766 by licence at Clatford. Henry signed Jane made her mark. (Mary was baptised 5 months after marriage. Both Henry and Jane were otp. Witnesses John Collins the elder and John Collins the younger. One John Collins (I think the elder, but their signatures are very similar) witnessed a lot of marriages, so likely to be parish clerk.

A Jane Annatts was buried on 17 Jan 1808, age 63 giving a birth year of 1744-5, I think this was Jane nee Cary.
