Robert Barry born c 1825 Ballinacurra Midleton Co Cork Ireland Parents Robert Barry & Margaret Byrne died in Melbourne in 1861. Any information on Robert i.e marriage etc would be welcome. Thank you

I've taken a look and the result is attached. It's interesting his place of death isn't recorded on the index, it usually is I think. Ordering the actual document might provide more information.

Also, you could search for him in TROVE, here's a link of search results for "Robert Barry" filtered to Victoria and 1851. Play around, TROVE is a great resource.

And if you know if Robert's parents were in Victoria, or maybe even young Robert left a will, you can trawl through wills at PROV (Public Records Office Victoria). You can use this site for passenger lists, coroners reports and much more:

Robert Barrys death in Melbourne was retrieved from a Notice in an old Irish publication which gave his parents names & his place of birth. Thank you

Checking my notes as follows Robert Barry died 11th march 1861 at Melbourne Australia of Colonial fever, Robert 4th son of the late Robert Barry Ballinacurra County Cork.
