I wonder if anyone might be familiar with Leicestershire Record Office policy (or maybe there’s a common policy in such places)?
I used to have a reader ticket and could access original documents in the search room. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to get there for quite a while, and can’t find my ticket either. I want to know whether I can sign up on the day to give me the level of access I need. I wonder what I. D. they require? The R O only opens infrequently on a Saturday, and this Saturday it is open, and would be ideal for me to visit. Unfortunately they seem to close on Fridays, so I can’t check tomorrow re access to the original apprenticeship records and other bits I’m keen to see.
