William Henry Harris married Elizabeth Mary Davis on 17 Jan 1920 in Trowbridge. He was 30 and a bachelor. He was a bombardier in the RHA. His father was William, occupation plate layer. On the 1921 census I can find Elizabeth and their 7 month old son William Albert John Harris in Islington with John and Annie Norris and family. Elizabeth is recorded as niece and William A J as great nephew. As Annie's maiden name was Davis, it looks like she is Annie's niece, not John's and Annie is Elizabeth's father's sister. Elizabeth is recorded as married, but husband not with her - in military barracks somewhere? They go on to have at least one more child - a son in 1924, so haven't split up.
In 1939, William Henry and William A J turn up in Trowbridge. His dob is 29 jun 1889. He has a different presumed wife (Olive) two redacted presumed children - probably the one b in 1924 is one of them even though he died in 2017. There is also an unredacted presumed daughter b 1932 (mother's maiden name Smith.)
Presuming William H's birth was registered Q3 1889, I get 12 possible birth registrations none in Trowbridge. Can anyone help find his parents please?
