Robin Hood Inn
« on: Friday 18 August 23 18:03 BST (UK) »
Hello All,

I have discovered that an ancestor was running a pub called The Robin Hood Inn at Hepston, Yorkshire on the 1939 register. I have looked at maps around the area and found two pubs of that name, but they are both further out of where I think Hepston is/was. The ones I see are in Hebden, is this the same place due to the boundary being extended? I'm a little confused and would appreciate any help in locating the Robin Hood Inn that was in Hepston. Any info welcome, thank you,

Mary

Can’t find anywhere called Hepston - only Heptonstall

Who is the ancestor you have found

So Hepton - not Hepston?

Seems to be 26 Keighley Rd looking at the other entries

I popped "Hepton" on the Borough/District field and "Robin Hood" in Optional Keywords which delivered Valentine Simpson, Keighley Rd
