The copy of the death notice that I can see on the SMH archive is very difficult to read. I definitely says "late of Willoughby" and  "wife of Robert" if that helps.

"PEMBERTON Ethel, August 6, 1976, at hospital and late of Willoughby, dearly beloved wife of Robert, loved mother and mother-in-law of ... and ... and the late and Bertha (?) Pemberton, ... and ...  and fond grandmother of their children."

Thank you to all who have helped me both online and by PM.
My aim was to see what happened to the daughter H* and her Husband D*. ( my late husband's Uncle and Uncles wife)
H was born 1923 D was b 1920 married 1953 and had 2 children.
All I get is they died years ago. No deaths found to date.
I have sent a request to the N.S.W State Library to see if they can help.

The couple (H and DA) appear on the NSW electoral roll at Sawtell (sort of near Coffs Harbour) in 1980 and in Bexley, Sydney in 1972 ( and in 1957 in Taranaki, New Zealand). Will keep looking.

They are both over 100 now but D.A.'s dad lived well into his 90's.
I have my family members living to over 100 so you never know.
