If you are like me, you might know your ancestor's Battalion but understanding where they served and with what Brigade and Division is not so easy to discover.
For the Royal Warwickshire Regiment only, this attached list might be especially helpful when looking for who was doing what, when and where in War Diaries.
KGarrad has added, below, excellent links to Longlongtrail website which pretty much contains all of the WW1 Battalions and their support.
Side note: I discovered this list (which I've transcribed) some 14 years ago on a website which is no longer active. And I've only just discovered information in War Diaries. So you never know when that information you save will come in handy for the future

(in September 1918 the 8th was transferred to the 75th Brigade of the 25th Division)
