Thank you for the burial record for John Charles. I wasn't aware of that. Looking back at my tree Henry Freeman has a child called Henry Sheridan Freeman (1874), so that backs up the marriage! He also has a Charles Tiffin Freeman, so I'm assuming Tiffin must be a surname somewhere in the ancestry?

Hello
A bit confused but here's what I can see for Claude Francis Dubois

Claude Francis Dubois baptised Chelsea 22nd Aug 1761 s of Claude Francis Dubois and Elizabeth

parents had married at Chelsea 29 Sep 1759
Claude Francis Dubois and Elizabeth Blaxland of Wandsworth by licence
wit Jno Blandford and William Dubois

But that obviously doesn't fit with the Francis age 27 who married in 1800 to Susan Sheridan age 18
There is an entry on Ancestry for the 18th Dragoon Guards
Francis Dubois 27 5ft 9 i/2 joined 10 Sept 1799 Corporal 8 Jan 1800 Serg 29th  April 1800 Reduced Nov 1805.

Shoreditch burials in case that helps
Thomas age  3 Haggerstone 3.7.1813
Mary age 74 Charles St buried 4.7.1813
Francis 1744 -7 Feb 1830 Hoxton

Sorry I didn't find more

Interesting. Thank you. John Tiffin Freeman was born in 1796. Can't find any Freeman/Tiffin marriages before this date

Thank you. Yes I think Claude Francis is out. Which is good as I never really bought it. I'm not that familiar with military history. Is going from new recruit to Sergeant in six months quite rare? And does reduced essentially mean "demoted"?

Hi
Yes reduced does seem to demoted. And his rise through the Ranks is nothing short of exceptional.I know there was a War on but he must have done really well.
