Just a guess and hope others might have other ideas.

I'm wondering if it was originally toned with a selenium tint.  This gives a slight warm purplish tint and might fade to this  yellow/green colour.  I've used this many times in the past (1980s-90s) but none have gone this colour

Here is a small version using a selenium app.

Gadget

That is very good input Gadget.  I worked in photo lab back in the 80's and 90's here in the states. I worked in the Art/Retouch department and eventually ended up managing the lab. Although I managed the day to day operations... I was by no means a darkroom expert. To my knowledge, we never did any toning in a selenium bath. You've "exposed" me to something new - no pun intended. But to the original point... I have never seen or heard of any intentional green toning of a print. Perhaps it was exposure to a specific chemical over the years (some photo albums used glue to hold photos in place)? Perhaps an incomplete wash in the development stages? Or a lack of fix. Very perplexing.

Is there some problem with her right lower arm?  It looks as if it's been cut out and re-added   :-\

I know I noticed that too Gadget, which confused me at first.

I think it may just be a bangle/bracelet, but its pretty high up.
And then for some reason where the bracelet was has blurred to make it look odd?

I'm really not sure myself. But I've never heard her having problems with her arms.

This is also the original photo, luckily my nana took care of her photos unlike her sister, of which I had to request their dad James to be repaired.

Because this is now in the photograph forum, I feel fit to introduce her as per the forum
This is Pauline Pamela Mills b 1946. d 2001 of Baildon, Shipley, WYorks
Her father James Mills, I posted in this forum not long ago :)

Thanks to mods for moving this over to its appropriate forum - thank you.

Toby - The arm that looks odd is also less in focus than the rest of the area. Very puzzling  :-\

Hm Very strange, are her fingers also going through the toy or do you think it had a void in-between it.

I just noticed her arm before posting this, but I had just assumed a bangle, now im intrigued  ???

I see it now, her fingers are very fuzzy towards her toy, and blended with her outfit.  :o

She definitely had both her arms.  :D

I'm not sure what I'd be looking for. The back is all one photograph in the sense it is all on one piece of paper with no signs of cuts or additions.

I know, it is rather strange! Green wouldn't be my go to colour choice, but I still like the photo nonetheless but I have just never come across it, very different!

Her arm also looks as if it is bent strangely where the 'bracelet' begins, how have I never noticed before today!

It might be because you were looking at the green/yellow rather than individual parts.

I've just found this discussion from 10 or so years ago

The stains I get are yellowish tinting of the paper, this is one extreme example where I barely rinsed the print after fixing...

I don’t think this has been mentioned, could she have been wearing a glove for some reason?  Perhaps to protect an injury as it healed?
