I am researching my ancestor Thomas Butler born Holy Cross, Tipperary around 1860. He was the son of Michael Butler and Mary nee Perkins. I cannot find any Butler/Perkins marriages or birth record for Thomas. He came to Australia and was married here in 1886. His marriage details (given by himself) clearly state that his parents were Michael Butler and Mary nee Perkins. Thomas was a Roman Catholic but I cannot find any records in the NLI RC Registers.
