The Arizona 1935 death certificate for Julius L Bookman said he had lived in the state for 20 years.

Hi

Thanks for looking - the dates and some facts continue to be vague. On Julius obituary it says resident of Tucson for 23 years. On Katherine's it says 73 years  - mathematically this takes them both to about 1912 and the idea they married in 1915 has not been found - but  legally not possible as Katherine wasn't divorced until 1922.

It all depends on how they wanted to present themselves to the census enumerator etc I suppose - the occasional "white lie" stopped too many other questions being asked!!

Alan

The 1930 census says Catherine born Colorado but she was born in Canada

You can never be 100% sure with the dates and as we said before she was not divorced until 1922  ???
Although she was going under the name of Bookman in 1914 still not found her entry in to the USA

But was she divorced in 1922 ?????  There is only a mention on the second marriage of Albert/Scott Kezer.  So was it true ?? (newspaper article below)

There were so many places to cross the border Canada to USA, Kathleen may not have been recorded.

Sandra

Added - divorce

Hi,

Albert Scott Kezar re-married on 24 May 1922 in North Hatley, Quebec roughly 6 weeks after the divorce was granted in Vermont and had family with his second wife.

He died in North Hatley in 1956.

Thanks for everything - can't see there is now anything more to be added.
