So that part of the search does look like William. Maybe, just maybe, the death certificate would have some info unless he died in hospital.
Christina’s burial is in the records - her residence 107, Rice Lane, which is Walton hospital, I think.

I wonder, were William and Mary separated, as he is buried with his parents.

Cheers Heywood
William Death Certificate shows he Died at Liverpool Royal Infirmary 30 October 1971 but lived at 99 Storrington Heys Liverpool 11 but I think its meant to be Storrington Ave Norris Green same area as Bellgreen Rd and West Derby Cemetery  - Informant was his Brother Thomas of Liverpool 24
Family story was that Mary lost her Mind and the Family and William had nothing to do with her.
That gives belief to the Fazakerley article looking for Relatives

Going with Jon’s research for Mary Ann Malone (I’m a bit bothered by the full name but never mind)
Here is John Malone, 38 yrs, widower b Liverpool living in Camberwell. (So that is a link).
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XWR9-7Z8
He is living very close to the McCabes -his sister, Martha, I would think.

His occupation could perhaps also be loosely linked to that in the marriage.
‘Fellmonger’ - ‘a dealer in hides and skins’.
(makes me think of the smell from the ‘Hide, skin and fat factory).

1939 shows a John Malone, whose occupation and age fits (b 1872).
He is living in a home for the aged.

The registers are difficult to manoeuvre but I don’t think he is there in 1938/39 electoral registers but certainly on the 1939 register :-\
