Thomas Poyser - Death records? Can't find anywhere!
« on: Friday 25 August 23 16:37 BST (UK) »
I am struggling to find any death records for a Thomas Poyser, born 14th March 1835 in Birmingham and married a Letitia Brown born around 1837 in Halfshire, Milton, Worcestershire. They had 3 children - Thomas born around 1862 in Aston, Francis George Poyser born 31st December 1865 who died same month/year and Richard Alfred Poyser (sometimes listed as Alfred Richard) born 29th May 1872 in Kidderminster Worcestershire but died Q2 1921 in Birmingham. Thomas' parents were a John Poyser (1798) and Maria Bowater (1808 to 1855) but I can't find any death record at all for Thomas! Can anyone kindly help/assist or point me in the right direction please? We suspect/believe it could be between 1872 and 1874 but not 100% certain on that, yet.

Thanks, Nick
Waddicor, Poyser, Wildgoose, Cartwright and especially anyone who can enlighten me on a Daniel Cairney who was born around 1929 in Tranent, East Lothian. Apparently he was some kind of famous music hall musician or singer/entertainer but can't find mention of him anywhere! :(

Hello Rosie

Many thanks for all the messages of help/assistance. Yes we struggled with Letitia for a while as she did indeed have a number of marriages that confused us - Cox and Fox we believe are both right, too. As for the death one you asked if we've ruled out, I'm not sure. I'll pass that information on to my friend and see what he says.

Is there any possibility you could kindly send me the image of this please Rosie, or provide a link where I can find it please? I do have an active subscription with Ancestry at the moment so if it's on there, I'll be able to view it.

Thank you kindly, once again.

Sorry Rosie, I meant the image of that record please, not the certificate. Obviously I know you wouldn't have that. :)
