Navy Uniform mystery Thai?

I found a locket left by my Aunt with 2 photos which seem to date late 19th early 20th century.
The cap badge could possibly be Thai from the poited design above the anchor, but no known family connections.
I have never seen a naval uniform matching this one.
The people are English could be Lincolnshire or Berkshire.
I have attached the young man in uniform

Yes it appears to be a Royal Thai Navy Officers badge
