Margaret Merrigan or Taylor? South Shields

Morning All

I’m trying to confirm a maiden name of Margaret Merigan or Taylor?

She marries James Keenan Hall in 1931

Her children and born with mmn Merigan. But some docs state Taylor.
Her sons grave stone in Harton cemetery also states Margaret Taylor!

Can anyone help confirm which is correct pls?

In 1939 her Hall surname is crossed out  on the Register and Taylor inserted - Did she remarry after her husband died??

Going off the 1939 register in Essex? the Childress birthdates all match with mmn Merrigan born South Shields.
