I came to the same conclusion regarding Frances HAWES, is she indeed William of Mildenhall's widow.
Mother of Thomas and William junior.
Will have to look through all the replies and records  to see if the HAWES marriage record exists.

Thomas Roberts Boot and Shoe Maker of Ipswich Suffolk son of William Roberts Wool comber deceased of Edmundsbury Suffolk and Mary surviving married :-

Mary Head  daughter of John Head - Farmer deceased of Mendlesham Suffolk and Martha surviving.

At Needham Market Suffolk 3 January 1811.

1851 and 1861 census they are in March Cambridgeshire

Thomas 66 leather Cutter born Bury St Edmunds
Mary 74

Thomas 76 retired Leather Cutter
Mary 84

Thomas death registered North Witchford 1861 age 75
Mary death registered North Witchford 1862 age 84

I think Frances Hawes is the sister of Thomas and William all children of William Roberts senior and his wife Frances

The Annual Monitor of Quaker Records for Chatteris 1863

Thomas Roberts died 21 November 1861 age 77

Mary Roberts died 11 January 1862 age 84

Not sure where they would be buried, but they were in good standing when they died.


I would suggest getting a copy of William's will if he had no children and his wife pre deceased him
you could get a lot of information from how he distributed his estate.
