Moving forward
So a bit more digging and a lot of guessing ;D

This death notice for John HENRY, who as stated, the father of Kate MULLER and also Margaret of the wedding article  (previously listed)  and  maybe of Cardy too. It took place at the home of Mr A J MULLER, Kate’s (nee HENRY) husband in 1899.

Further to above, this obit  confirms   the  connection and  says  that John HENRY was a native of Scotland who came to NZ in 1863.

Here is the death of the wife of John HENRY see above. Her name was Margaret in 1890.
Again the Commercial Hotel is mentioned.

A likely marriage in NZ John and Margaret.
1866/7387 Margaret ANDERSON to John HENRY

The chn were born in NZ and can be found at https://www.bdmhistoricalrecords.dia.govt.nz/search/    and I would guess that Cardy was one of them but in a different given name,

At a push, I would go for this one
1871/32497 HENRY John  RICHARD[/i]
Parents Margaret and John

A longshot but maybe. ;D

Hi Sue
Thanks for all of this!  Interesting.  I will go over all of this and check out that birth of RICHARD.  Just a bit of extra information CARDY and GRACE ALICE were on the electoral rolls 1928-1934 Queensland and 1934-1937 Waverly/Clovelly.

I will have another look for Cardy?? on the NSW deaths OR Qld he may have gone back there OR???  On the electoral rolls he is listed as CARDY though.  He could have called himself that I guess!

Very interesting!  Regards Dianna
