I have a birth place for Lawrence Doogan as Filey Yorkshire so could be further information on this track.
Nothing for Patrick jnr as on his NH records it indicates no birth certificate available.

I think both births have been posted.
Patrick M Doogan 1940 April quarter mmn Watson.

I have just noticed a published tree with this family’s details but no mention of the boys other than birth indexes.
There is also a daughter Margaret P Doogan b 1939.
There is a marriage for her so I would think that the tree owner is connected to her.

The tree could well be mine.

I must have misunderstood somewhere then.
I didn't realise that you had accepted that the two boys were definitely the right ones and your family.
Was the female child not placed in a home? (I don’t want to pry though.)

Which female child?  Yes I am 90% certain that they are part of my ancestry as a lot of the dates and names tally. It is ascertaining somehow that Patrick snr had been married previously.  There is also the missing information as to were Patrick snr was born.

I posted it earlier
Margaret  P Doogan b 1939, Sheffield mmn Watson.

That was the tree I was referring to - the tree owner would seem to be connected to Margaret.

Patrick in 1939 has the same birthdate as the Patrick who died in Vale Royal, 1990.

You could compare his father’s details on the two marriage certificates.

When Margaret Pendlebury was born on 16 July 1927 in Northwich, Cheshire, her father, George, was 27, and her mother, Hannah, was 24. She married Patrick Doogan in June 1950 in her hometown. They had one child during their marriage. She died on 12 October 1993 in Cheshire at the age of 66.

Do you have the marriage details for Patrick and Margaret?
If so, you could compare Patrick’s father’s details with the marriage to Dorothy.
