Death date for Ernest Robinson b. c. 1903

Hi All,

I'd like to find out when my great uncle Ernest Robinson died. As far as I know, he killed himself with a gas oven and it was always a taboo story in my family, and wasn't talked about much, hence I don't actually know when he died. Ernest was born in c. 1903 in Rochdale, the son of Richard and Eliza Ann Greenfield , but moved to Twickenham in c.1917. He married Elsie Charlotte Nexard in 1932

I can’t find anything on death of Ernest but I did find an article in The Herald (Richmond) 17 Oct 1931 about his marriage to Elsie. There is even a photograph although unfortunately very dark on the scanned copy.

He married Elsie Charlotte Nexard in 1932

Her surname on the GRO index is Nevard - Married December qtr 1931 - birth of son confirms that spelling

ADDED Elsie died 20th February 1967 according to probate index

Are you sure that the son has died, if not you will need to remove his name from your post

Thank you - he is still redacted on the 1939 register that is why I wondered.

Have you any idea when Elsie moved to Cheshire

So all we know is that he died after the 1939 register was taken.  Was he definitely still in the Surrey area when he died.
