There is a sad story about Elsie in August 1956. I won't go into details, but she got herself into a spot of bother

It all seems like such a sad story, but I'm not sure we'll ever get to the bottom of what really happened. My dad doesn't really remember it being talked about much, but it must have loomed large over the family.
